2026 Registrations NOW OPEN!

We will have NEW uniforms for 2026, all registrations include a NEW polo and playing shorts, you can select sizes during the registration process.

How to Register (Returning Players)​

When you log into Squadi, you will first be prompted by a pop-up link to complete your Football Australia PlayFootball registration first for the 2026 season.

This first step is mandatory so please do the following: Follow the instructions provided, which will require you to:

1. Log into PlayFootball

2. Search for "Diggers Football Club" 

3. Select the appropriate National registration product

4. Self-complete your PlayFootball registration in full

​

Once your PlayFootball registration is complete, you can then continue and complete your Football Queensland competition access process in Squadi as per normal.

 

IMPORTANT REMINDER

Both of the following are mandatory under regulation before you are eligible to participate in the 2026 season:

* Football Australia PlayFootball registration

* Football Queensland competition access via Squadi

**Those eligible for the QLD Government Play On! Sports Vouchers must present their voucher number during registration process on Squadi.

*All fees above are NOT including the Football Australia fee which is paid separately on PlayFootball and is $18 for miniroos and juniors, and $42 for seniors. Registrations are not complete until players have registered and paid on both Squadi and PlayFootball.

Please note that Diggers FC tries to keep fees as low as possible for its members and only retains approximately $70-$100 of the overall player fees which are used to maintain, operate and provide equipment and the facilities for its members.

Important Player Information

All players must wear shin pads and football boots. These can be purchased at any sports store. 

 

All players must also purchase club playing socks (compulsory) if you do not already have any.  In 2026 all players will receive FREE playing shorts and Club Polo, please select size during the PlayFootball Registration process or via link below.  Other merchandise is optional.

Wednesday nights 6:00pm for a 6:15pm start / finishing at 7:30pm.

  • U5-U7 - Wednesdays 5:15pm-6pm START 4 March

  • U8 - Wednesdays 4:45pm-5:45pm START 25 Feb

  • U9 - Wednesdays 5:15pm-6:15pm START 25 Feb

  • U10 - Thursdays 5:15pm-6:15pm START 26 Feb

  • U11 - Tuesdays 5:00pm-6:30pm START 3 Feb

Note: The U13 FQPL team has not been selected yet. Therefore, anyone wishing to be part of that team may train both Tuesday and Thursday until the team has been picked. Once the team has been picked, only U13 FQPL will train the additional Thursday session.

GAME DAYS & TIMES 

ALL GAMES (unless otherwise stated) are played at Football Bundaberg, Martens Oval (Corner of Maynard and Miller Street, Bundaberg QLD 4670). 

​

 

Please note that ALL Under 5 – Under 12 players meet at the field they are playing on for the day AND ALL competition ages Under 13 – Seniors meet at the Diggers FC dressing sheds (near Field 2/ Bar) prior to their games.

​

 

Please check with your coach if you are unsure what time they would like you at the game/ fields. 

​

Most games are played on a Saturday, with some senior and junior games played on a Friday night. â€‹

​

WET WEATHER PROCEDURES

Training 

Diggers FC Wet Weather Policy, for training, is as follows:

Training for ALL junior teams (U5-U16) will be cancelled when there is a Heavy Storm &/or Constant Lightning during training, flooding or constant soaking rain. A light shower will NOT cause cancellation. Coaching staff and social media will be notified, no later than 1 hour prior to training. Please check our Facebook page first ( Diggers Football Club ), before contacting coaching staff. Senior training will be at the discretion of the senior coaching staff.

Game Days
FQWB control the grounds that we play on. Their ground staff, along with the head of referees, will make a decision, when there is adverse weather conditions that deem the fields unsafe to play on. FQWB will also use the Squadi app to inform all members of field closures. Please go to check your Squadi app.  Diggers Facebook page will also advertise, once informed by FQWB. If there is NO cancellation, on Squadi app, games are on. Any changes during game day will be decided on, by the match officials, at the venue.
